Dr. Tyson Green, foot and ankle specialist with Center for Orthopaedics, was recently named to the board of directors for the American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA), a non-profit medical association for medical providers involved in prevention, treatment and pain management of non-healing wounds.
Dr. Green is originally from Lafayette, Louisiana and received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a three-year residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Scott & White Memorial Hospital – University of Texas A&M Health Science Center in Temple, Texas. He is board certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He serves on the legislative committee for the American Podiatric Medical Association and represents Louisiana at the House of Delegates in Washington, D.C. annually. He is a fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and also serves on the board of the Louisiana Podiatric Medicine Association. He lectures both nationally and internationally on various topics and is well respected as a leader in his field. Dr. Green is the program director for the CHRISTUS St. Patrick Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency.
